Yvette Cooper said she is "really worried about" increasing levels of extremism amongst young people in the country.
Asked about the issue in the Home Affairs Committee, the home secretary said: "I see it in the kinds of cases that I'm briefed on, just increasing numbers of teenagers - where there are serious concerns."
