London witnessed a breathtaking tribute as over 1,300 troops, veterans, NATO allies, and the Royal Family came together to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day the end of the Second World War in Europe.
The parade marched past the city's most iconic landmarks and culminated at Buckingham Palace, where King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales were joined by their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis for a rare public appearance.
Jo Hamilton, campaigner and former sub-postmistress, is made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by the Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace. Mrs Hamilton, who was played by Monica Dolan in the drama Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, said being honoured for services to justice by the Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace on Thursday was āwonderfulā.
