Desperate Rescue in Telangana Tunnel: Robot Cameras and Rat Miners Race to Save 8 Trapped Workers

A desperate rescue operation is underway at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel in Telangana, where eight workers have been trapped for over 48 hours after a portion of the tunnel collapsed.

To aid the rescue efforts, robotic and endoscopic cameras, along with an NDRF dog squad, have been deployed to locate the workers.

A team of expert rat miners, who previously rescued trapped laborers during the 2023 Silkyara Bend-Barkot tunnel collapse in Uttarakhand, has also joined the mission.

Accumulated mud and water are making the operation difficult, while officials warn that the chances of survival are "very remote." Stay tuned for live updates on this challenging rescue operation.
