Karnataka Excise Minister RB Timmapur initially dismissed a Pahalgam attack widow's account of terrorists asking her husband's religion, attributing it to 'mental fog'. However, he later backtracked, questioning the claim's validity due to a Muslim victim and accusing the BJP of politicizing the deaths. He had earlier stated a lack of information about terrorists targeting Hindus.
