Muslim literacy, participation of women in workforce up: Rijiju

The government informed Parliament that the literacy rate among Muslims has risen to 79.5% in 2023-24, although it remains below the 80.9% rate for all religious groups. Additionally, the participation of Muslim women in the labour force has notably increased from 15% in 2021-22 to 21.4% in 2023-24, despite a dip in 2022-23.
