Telangana mandates Telugu as compulsory subject in schools

Telangana government has mandated Telugu as a compulsory subject for Classes 1 to 10 in all schools, starting from the 2025-26 academic year. This decision fully implements the Telangana (Compulsory Teaching and Learning of Telugu in Schools) Act, introduced in 2018 but previously not fully enforced.
