Jharkhand HC orders release of 3 convicts sentenced for murder over Rs 200 after 31 years

Three men convicted of murder over a Rs 200 debt in 1993 have been released by the Jharkhand High Court after serving over three decades in prison. The court commuted their life sentences to time served, effectively ending the 31-year legal battle that began in Deoghar and continued after Jharkhand's formation.
