Maoists kill Bijapur woman in front of kin

In Bijapur, Maoists murdered a 45-year-old anganwadi worker, Laxmi Padam, accusing her of being a police informer. The mother of three was strangled in front of her family, marking the 63rd civilian death by Maoists in Bastar division this year. This is the first time in over six years a woman has been killed in Bastar under such accusations.
