‘Sheer mockery of courts’: SC slams HC shield for rowdy MLA

The Supreme Court on Monday described the Andhra Pradesh High Court's order providing interim protection from arrest to Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy as a "joke" and "sheer mockery of the justice system." Reddy is accused of damaging a VVPAT device at a polling station. The Supreme Court has also directed Reddy to avoid the counting center in his constituency on Tuesday.
