Delhi Yamuna Flood Crisis: 100 Families Homeless, 500 Acres of Crops Destroyed — Oneindia Exclusive

Our team went on an exclusive boat ride to the flood-hit areas of Burari, Delhi, where the Yamuna river has crossed the danger mark.

Nearly 100 families, mostly landless farmers and migrant workers from Bihar and Eastern UP, have lost their homes.

Around 500 acres of vegetable crops and papaya orchards have been completely destroyed by the rising floodwaters.

Fodder for livestock has also been washed away.

While the Delhi government has provided relief through food, water tankers, and mobile toilets, the victims are demanding proper compensation for their massive losses.
