Just three days before the TrumpāPutin meeting, Russia and Ukraine have launched heavy attacks, intensifying the war. Russia struck a Ukrainian training center with banned cluster munitions, killing one and injuring 11. In retaliation, Ukraine hit a Russian command post in Donetsk, killing the commander of the 85th Rifle Brigade, call sign āDniepr,ā and five soldiers.
