President Trump Federalizes DC Police To Control Crime
The Trump administration plans to flood the streets of Washington, DC, with more than 100 FBI agents as a part of the president’s vow to make the nation’s capital “great again,” sources tell The Post.
President Trump, 79, is expected to announce the additional surge in federal law enforcement at a Monday morning press conference, one source told The Post, adding that 120 FBI agents will be reassigned to assist the Metropolitan Police Department.
Trump has threatened to re-federalize the District if widespread violence by gangs of teenagers doesn’t stop.
The president initially warned local officials after a 19-year-old former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer was beaten and bloodied by a mob of 10 minors during a violent carjacking attempt early on Aug.
