Massive explosions rocked western Syria overnight as the Israeli Air Force launched precision strikes on the Brigade 107 headquarters in Zama village, near the Golan Heights. The IDF confirmed it successfully targeted and eliminated senior Hezbollah commander Hossam Qasem Ghorab, who was directing cross-border rocket attacks on Israeli territory. A Hezbollah fighter was killed and four others injured in a deadly Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon's Nabatieh province. The IDF targeted a motorcycle in the Bint Jbeil district, reportedly eliminating Haitham Mohammad Idris, a known Hezbollah member. This marks yet another escalation despite a fragile ceasefire in place since November 27.
Earlier the same day, Israeli forces also dropped stun grenades and opened fire in Ramieh village. Lebanese officials have condemned the strikes as a “flagrant violation” of the truce, while tensions continue to rise over disputed border areas still occupied by Israeli forces.
