Breaking: Jagdeep Dhankhar Steps Down as Vice President with immediate effect citing Health Reasons

Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned as Vice President of India on July 21, 2025, citing health concerns, ending his tenure over two years early.

Dhankhar, who assumed office in August 2022, also served as the ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

A former West Bengal Governor and seasoned lawyer, Dhankhar began his political career as a Lok Sabha MP in 1989.
