A Delta Connection flight operated by SkyWest narrowly avoided disaster when its pilot was forced to perform an "aggressive maneuver" to dodge a U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber near Minot, North Dakota.

The Embraer E175 was descending toward Minot International Airport when the massive B-52 Stratofortress unexpectedly appeared in its flight path.

The pilot swerved sharply to avoid collision, later apologizing to passengers and admitting the situation caught him by surprise.

A viral audio clip revealed the pilot’s stress and frustration at the lack of warning, citing that the Air Force base should’ve coordinated better.

Passengers described the experience as terrifying but remained oddly calm until they learned the truth.

The flight circled the airport several times before safely landing.

The U.S. Air Force has yet to issue a statement, while SkyWest has confirmed an investigation is underway.
