Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has ruled out hasty or “ill‑considered” diplomacy with the US unless explicit guarantees are made.
Speaking to diplomats in Tehran, he condemned last month’s US and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites as a betrayal of diplomacy, demanding assurances that aggression will not repeat if talks resume.
Araghchi emphasized Tehran’s focus on securing national interests and accountability from Washington.
He warned European nations that invoking the UN “snap‑back” sanctions would be as damaging as military action and could end their role in nuclear diplomacy.
Iran insists its victorious counter‑strikes, including its missile attack on al‑Udeid base in Qatar, underscore that it faces no fear in negotiating.
