Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Kibbutz Nir Oz for the first time since the October 7 Hamas massacre, 636 days after the attack. The kibbutz lost 117 of its 400 residents in the atrocity, and nine remain hostages in Gaza. While the visit included emotional embraces and moments of unity, Netanyahu faced scathing criticism from freed hostages and bereaved families.
Nili Margalit, a nurse once held captive, refused to shake his hand, demanding responsibility and a hostage deal. Other families accused him of political delay, urging him to act before his upcoming White House visit.
