This week, the NHL was SHOCKED when the New York Islanders selected three times in the 1st Round of the NHL Draft, taking Matthew Schaefer first overall with Viktor Eklund and Kashawn Aitcheson coming later.
The New York Rangers signed the biggest free agent defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to a reasonable contract while moving out frustrating defenseman K'Andre Miller to the Carolina Hurricanes.
GM Chris Drury also re-signed RFA wing Will Cuylle.
