Russia has issued a stark new warning to the United States over what it calls an alarming surge in US missile systems positioned in regions with a “direct impact” on Russia’s security. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov declared that Moscow is abandoning its self-imposed moratorium on missile deployments in response, accusing Washington of pushing the situation toward dangerous escalation.
