The 37-year-old pop star revealed her diagnosis in an Instagram post on Tuesday, sharing with fans that doctors had discovered the cancer prior to the release of her April 25 single 'No Secrets.'

However, the English singer stressed throughout the video that the cancer was found early, saying 'I'm highlighting the word early.

Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word early.'

She is set to undergo surgery following her performance at London's Summertime Ball Festival on Sunday, June 15.

After days of teasing her next project, Mariah Carey is officially releasing new music.

The 56-year-old singer/songwriter announced her upcoming single 'Type Dangerous' will drop this Friday, sharing a quick clip of the song with fans on Instagram.

The news comes after weeks of celebrating the 20th anniversary of her 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi , with the release of new visuals, remixes, and a special edition vinyl.

The song is expected to be featured on her 16th studio album, which has yet to be announced.
