Mayor glad there were no fatalities in Liverpool crash
Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region has said it’s “good news” that there were no “fatalities” after a car ploughed into a crowd of fans at the Liverpool FC's Premier League victory parade on Monday evening.
Speaking after a 53-year-old man, believed to the driver, was arrested, he questioned, “how did a car head this way down this street?”

Thousands gather to bid farewell to Liverpool's Diogo Jota, brother André Silva at their funeral
The funeral proceedings of the late football players Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva took place in the church of Gondomar in their hometown in the east of Porto. Family members, teammates and coaches joined thousands of mourners to pay their final respects to the Silva brothers.
