Liverpool parade car crash not being treated as terrorism
Merseyside Police confirms an incident where 50 people were injured after a car ploughed into a crowd during Liverpool FC's Premier League victory parade on Monday evening is not being treated as terrorism.
Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims warns, “it is vital that people do not speculate or spread misinformation on social media”.
A 53-year-old man has been arrested by police.

Steve Rotheram has paid tribute to "family man" Diogo Jota, who has died in a car accident aged 28 in the Spanish province of Zamora. The mayor of Liverpool City Region shared his "devastation" at the news adding, "it's a loss to football and it's a loss to Liverpool Football Club, but it's an unbelievable loss to his family". Thousands gather to bid farewell to Liverpool's Diogo Jota, brother André Silva at their funeral
The funeral proceedings of the late football players Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva took place in the church of Gondomar in their hometown in the east of Porto. Family members, teammates and coaches joined thousands of mourners to pay their final respects to the Silva brothers.
