U.S Special Envoy Steve Witkoff recently met Russian President Vladimir Putin in a bid to persuade Russia for a ceasefire deal in Ukraine. This was the 4th such meeting in just over 2 months, but there seems to be no breakthrough yet as Putin remains firm recognition of Russia's control over Crimea and the four regions under Russian control since 2022. With peace talks stalling, could a Putin-Trump summit be the only path forward?
