A powerful 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Crete, Greece, shaking regions across southern Europe and North Africa, including parts of Turkey and Egypt.
The quake, recorded at a depth of 83 km, triggered a tsunami alert in Greece, with emergency services urging residents to move away from the coast.
Egyptâs seismic institute also reported a 6.4 magnitude quake offshore but confirmed no casualties or damage.
