Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that Pakistan shelled Rajouri town early Saturday, killing the Additional District Development Commissioner, Raj Kumar Thapa.

The Indian government has called out Pakistan’s blatant lie that it was not targetting any religious places. India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed the media that Pakistan had targetted a gurudwara in Poonch which resulted in the death of civilians. Misri also termed Pakistan’s claims that India targetted Nankana Sahib in Pakistan, and was targetting its own cities as ‘Preposterous and Outrages’. He said that Pakistan’s attempts to fuel communal discord will fail as India’s unity is in itself a challenge to Pakisan.
