The final day in Tbilisi saw thrilling battles from judo’s heavyweights. Bozorov, Lobnik, and Savytskiy claimed their first Grand Slam golds, while Dicko and Tasoev dominated their categories. Georgia’s Tushishvili fell short, but the home team secured multiple medals in a spectacular finale.

Pope Francis' funeral mass began with the Prayer of the Faithful, delivered by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re. In a significant departure from past papal funerals, the prayer was recited in six languages: Italian, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Polish, German, and for the first time, Mandarin. The inclusion of Mandarin reflects Pope Francis’ efforts to build bridges with China, especially after his visit to Mongolia in 2023. Cardinal Agostino Liu Bo delivered the prayer in Mandarin, invoking the hope that Christ calls all faithful to His kingdom. Cardinal Marengo, the first Mongolian cardinal, will also play a role in choosing the Pope’s successor.
