President Donald Trump has admitted that new U.S. sanctions on Russia might not have any effect on Vladimir Putin â but is moving ahead with them anyway. Trump slashed the peace window for a Ukraine deal from 50 days to just 10, warning of brutal economic penalties if Moscow doesn't comply. These include up to 100% tariffs and potential secondary sanctions on countries doing business with Russia.
While Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov downplayed the threats, saying Russia has developed âsanctions immunity,â Trumpâs frustration is mounting.
