The attack took place in Phal village, Sunderbani sector, a known infiltration route for militants.

Troops immediately retaliated, and reinforcements were rushed to the area.

A cordon and search operation has been launched to track down the attackers.

This incident comes just hours after the BSF neutralized an intruder attempting to cross the International Border (IB) in Pathankot.
