In a powerful statement at the UN, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative, Maria Zabolotskaya, condemned Western countries for their "double standards" in addressing the global refugee crisis. She called out the EU's failure to provide adequate support to refugees, especially those crossing the Mediterranean, and the deadly consequences of this inaction.
