Amid the disaster, a political blame game has erupted between President-elect Donald Trump and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Trump criticized Newsom for his handling of the crisis, accusing the Democratic governor of being responsible for the wildfires and failing to address water management issues that could have helped contain the flames.
In response, Newsom urged an investigation into the water pressure problems impacting fire hydrants in the affected areas.
