Farage calls for inquiry into grooming gangs at conference
Nigel Farage has renewed calls for a national inquiry into grooming gangs, criticising the Jay Review as inadequate.
Speaking at Reform UK’s North West conference, he claimed a targeted investigation was needed into what he described as “deeply racist” crimes.
Farage said grooming gangs, “predominantly of Pakistani origin,” targeted white working-class girls and that understanding the scale and motives of these crimes was crucial to stopping them.

There has been widespread disruption at UK airports after an air traffic control glitch. Aviation analytics company Cirium said 84 departures and 71 arrivals were cancelled up to 10pm on Wednesday. National Air Traffic Services (Nats) say the glitch was caused by a radar-related issue and that "there is no evidence that this was cyber related." The government are cracking down on late payments by cutting red tape for small businesses.
