The fifth of ten inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail has been recaptured, officials confirmed Tuesday. Corey Boyd, 19, initially jailed for Murder and multiple violent charges, was taken into custody days after Friday’s dramatic escape. Surveillance showed inmates crawling through a hole behind a toilet, scaling barbed wire, and fleeing across a highway. Boyd now faces an additional charge of escape and is expected to be transferred to a high-security state facility. Authorities continue to search for the remaining fugitives, some accused of Murder and serious gun and drug crimes.
