Kevin Sinfield kicks off new challenge for Rob Burrow
Fundraiser and campaigner Kevin Sinfield has started a new charity challenge, the first following the death of his best friend and former Leeds Rhinos team-mate, Rob Burrow.
Kevin will run seven ultramarathons in seven successive days to his hometown of Saddleworth, in what he is calling "Running Home for Christmas", raising money for motor neurone disease causes along the way.
He started the challenge in Liverpool, where he ran alongside thousands as part of the city's annual Santa Dash.

Heathrow has submitted its latest plans for a third runway at Europe’s busiest airport. The total cost, including new terminals and infrastructure, will be £49 billion pounds. The airport says expansion will create up to 40,000 new jobs and add 0.43% to the UK’s GDP by 2050. However, the plans will face fierce opposition from locals, politicians and climate campaigners.
