Hezbollah’s Lethal Nighttime Ambush: Three-Phase Attack Destroys Israeli Forces and Rescue Teams
Late Tuesday night, Hezbollah fighters executed a meticulously planned three-phase ambush on Israeli forces near the border town of Markaba in South Lebanon.
The initial strike, conducted at 10:00 PM, targeted an advancing Israeli infantry unit with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), causing heavy casualties.
When Israeli command dispatched a rescue team to retrieve the wounded and dead, Hezbollah launched a second ATGM strike, further escalating the toll.
A third strike at 11:10 PM targeted a second rescue team, leading to additional losses.
Hezbollah’s new leader Naim Qassem launched a scathing attack on the United States and Israel, declaring that calls for Hezbollah to disarm are part of a Zionist agenda. A Hezbollah fighter was killed and four others injured in a deadly Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon's Nabatieh province. The IDF targeted a motorcycle in the Bint Jbeil district, reportedly eliminating Haitham Mohammad Idris, a known Hezbollah member. This marks yet another escalation despite a fragile ceasefire in place since November 27.
