Britain and the United States have carried out new joint airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen, marking the UK’s first publicized strike operation alongside the U.S. since the Trump era. RAF Typhoon jets targeted Houthi drone sites near Sanaa, in response to escalating attacks on commercial shipping and missiles fired toward Israel. These Iran-backed assaults have disrupted global trade in the Red Sea by over 50%. UK Defense Secretary John Healey warned the ongoing Houthi threat poses serious risks to regional stability, global shipping, and national economies. All RAF aircraft returned safely.
