David Lammy defends decision to cut winter fuel payment
Daivd Lammy has defended the government's decision to cut the winter fuel payment for pensioners, saying "we inherited a £22BN blackhole that affects pensioners and affects families across our country." The foreign secretary said it's "hugely important" that the poorest pensioners are able to get pensioner credit.

The foreign secretary announced on Tuesday a raft of sanctions that will be introduced to target anyone involved in assisting illegal immigration to the UK.
