Prime minister Sir Keir Starmer has visited Southport following the knife attack on Monday which resulted in the death of three children.
Mr Starmer said his government is determined to tackle knife crime but that ātoday is not the time for politics, today is the time to focus entirely on the families who are going through such pain and grief and a time to say thank you to those who responded yesterday in the most awful of circumstances".
