Russia Uses Hypersonic Missiles in Strike on Ukraine Arms Depot |US-Supplied Himars System Destroyed
The Russian military has destroyed a Ukrainian warehouse in Donbass, which allegedly stored several multiple launch rocket systems and more than a dozen armored vehicles, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has claimed.
Officials also released an video of the alleged strike.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry said that Moscow’s forces used an Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile to strike the facility in the key regional hub of Kramatorsk, currently occupied by Ukraine, where artillery of Ukraine’s 56th separate motorized infantry brigade was stored.
In this latest update, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov slams Ukraine for showing no sign of readiness to engage in direct negotiations with Russia. Despite Moscow’s openness to peace talks, Ukrainian President Zelensky maintains a strict ban on any negotiations with Vladimir Putin—a move he implemented in October 2022 to stop separatism and control backchannel talks. Peskov insists that Ukraine must act, especially in light of its legal ban on direct talks.
