'Dexter' Prequel Series Casts Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Molly Brown in Lead Roles | THR News Video
The cast of the 'Dexter' prequel series, 'Dexter: Original Sin,' has been revealed.
Patrick Gibson (of 'Shadow and Bone'), Christian Slater (of 'Mr. Robot') and Molly Brown (of 'Senior Year') have been tapped to star in the prequel to the hit Showtime series that aired from 2006 to 2013.
The series set in 1991 Miami will see Gibson play a young Dexter, as he goes from student to avenging serial killer.
Dexter Morgan is very much not dead. The highly anticipated sequel series to 'Dexter,' 'Dexter: Resurrection,' has finally set a release date and dropped a teaser trailer reintroducing the world to the famed serial killer played by Michael C. Hall as titular serial killer Dexter Morgan. 'Dexter: Resurrection' will premiere on Friday, July 11 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, before its on-air debut Sunday, July 13. It will debut with two episodes with remaining episodes rolling out weekly.
