20 states sue Trump administration over immigration-linked federal funding threats

Twenty Democratic attorneys general have filed lawsuits against the Trump administration, challenging threats to withhold federal funding over immigration policy compliance. Spearheaded by California, the lawsuits target Homeland Security and Transportation departments, accusing them of unconstitutionally coercing states. The attorneys general argue the administration is overriding Congress's authority, jeopardizing funds for transportation, emergency preparedness, and disaster relief.
