Donald Trump, Zelenskyy discuss ceasefire as US eyes role in Ukraine's energy infrastructure

US President Trump had a "constructive" call with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy about a potential ceasefire with Russia. They discussed the US taking control of Ukrainian power plants to safeguard infrastructure. Trump proposed American ownership as the best protection. The leaders also talked about monitoring a ceasefire and additional missile defense for Ukraine. Continued US intelligence support was reaffirmed despite stalled ceasefire negotiations.
