Aid operations in Gaza imperiled as millions of promised USAID dollars do not arrive
Friday, 7 March 2025 The Trump administration's USAID cuts have halted hundreds of millions in aid payments to Gaza, jeopardizing the fragile Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Aid groups have downsized operations and laid off workers, threatening the delivery of essential services and supplies, and potentially endangering the truce.
Houthi leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has given mediators a strict four-day deadline to ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. If Israel continues to block aid deliveries, naval attacks on Israeli-linked vessels will resume.
