Legal experts predict that the transition to President-elect Donald Trump may impact the Luigi Mangione case. Trump has strongly condemned the admiration Mangione received and then promised to pursue the death penalty from day one reacting to Biden's pardons. ​ "How people can like this guy, that's a sickness actually. It seems like there's a certain appetite for him. I don't get it.... It was cold-blooded, just a cold-blooded, horrible killing. That's very, very bad, especially the way that it was done," Trump said about Mangione's popularity.
