The winner of European club football's biggest prize arrived in Paris on Sunday afternoon and head to France's most famous avenue, the Champs-Élysées, which overnight Saturday saw acts of violence and clashes with police.

Celebrations turned deadly in France after PSG’s historic 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final. Two fans died, a police officer is in a coma, and at least 559 were arrested during violent street riots. Incidents were reported across cities including Paris, Grenoble, and Dax, with fireworks injuring law enforcement and cars ploughing into crowds. France’s interior minister condemned the “barbarians” ruining the celebrations. Despite the chaos, PSG will hold a victory parade on the Champs-Élysées, with over 100,000 fans expected to attend.
