'Not our role': Lawmakers cautious over Middle East peace, not ready for regime change
Tuesday, 24 June 2025 () After U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear program, lawmakers laud the President Donald Trump-negotiated Israel-Iran ceasefire but remain wary of Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at Israel for 'Unloading' bombs on Iran just hours after agreeing to a ceasefire. Trump said that he was really unhappy with Israel for doing so and warned Israel to not drop any more bombs. Trump also acknowledged that Iran too violated the ceasefire and he was very unhappy with that. Trump's ceasefire plan seems to have been thrown to the dustbin by both the countries in a matter of hours. With mutual threats and growing mistrust, what was meant to be peace now teeters on the edge of a wider Middle East war

France, Indonesia evacuate citizens stranded in Israel and Iran
More than 100 French citizens were evacuated from Israel to Cyprus on Tuesday after being stranded there as the war with Iran broke out. Close to 100 Indonesian nationals in Iran were also successfully repatriated as Jakarta plans to carry out further evacuation missions.
