Over 1,100 evacuated as heavy rains pound Thane and Palghar districts

The downpour continued across the two districts, which form part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, flooding homes, causing wall collapses, and cutting off villages. Kalyan tehsildar aid several localities were waterlogged following heavy rainfall and swelling rivers
