Mumbai rains: Triple-digit showers drench city; IMD maintains orange alert till Tuesday

Mumbai experienced continuous rainfall, with several areas recording triple-digit figures in the last 24 hours. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai and Thane until August 19, forecasting heavy to very heavy showers. Water stock in the seven lakes supplying Mumbai has reached 93.20%, surpassing the 2024 level.
