A deadly monsoon wave has claimed at least 69 lives in Himachal Pradesh in just two weeks, as torrential rains wreak havoc across North and Central India. Over 240 roads have been completely blocked due to massive landslides, with Mandi district alone accounting for 176 road closures. The India Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert for extremely heavy rainfall in Kangra, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts.
