Green panel grants nod to divert forest land for multiple projects

An environment ministry advisory panel has granted in-principle approval for diverting protected forest land for various projects across multiple states. These projects include forest land diversion in West Bengal for a coal mine and de-notification of reserve forest land in Telangana for village relocation from a tiger reserve.
