Overseas citizens of India card can be cancelled if jailed for over 2 years, says MHA

The Home Ministry has amended the Citizenship Act, making OCI cardholders liable for cancellation if sentenced to at least two years in jail. The updated rules also allow for cancellation if an OCI cardholder is chargesheeted for offenses punishable with seven years or more imprisonment.
